Package Prices

All basic holiday prices advertised are based on maximum occupancy of full-fare paying passengers in any one hotel, apartment or villa and the lowest cost flight. Where applicable, supplements are payable for accommodation with additional facilities and/or usually other flights depending upon the day of the week, time of departure and airport involved. We reserve the right to change flight supplements from time to time. Supplements can go up or down. The supplement when you book will not exceed the supplements stated on the flight pages by more than £100. Please check the up-to-date supplement for your chosen holiday with your travel agent before you book. Not all accommodation is necessarily available on every flight featured to the relevant destination.

Advertised apartment and villa prices are based on the maximum adult (ie. full-fare paying passenger) occupancy and supplements for adult occupancies below the maximum are shown. Children do NOT count towards adult occupancy in apartments or villas. Due to the complexity of villa/apartments pricing, occasions may arise where the total price for a booking including 1 or more children is higher than the total price for the same booking in which all passengers are charged as adults. In such cases the lower of the two total prices is available on request.

Our prices include extra aviation insurance and a security levy which have been imposed on airlines and tour operators, following the world events of September 2001. These charges may change between the date of publication of this brochure, and the time of travel. Since these costs are beyond our control, we reserve the right to pass on any additional charges to you at the time of booking. Your travel agent will tell you about any extra charges and they will be included within your holiday costing. Therefore you must check carefully the total costings, including these extra charges, with your agent before you book.

We are confident that prices on this website offer the very best holiday value available. We make every effort to ensure that you will not find lower prices anywhere else.

Villa Only Prices

All villa only prices advertised are per villa per week, regardless of the number of people staying there. The price only includes the accommodation and does not include car rental or flights.

Our contract is with those people named at the time the villa only booking is made, not with any other person who may stay in the villa that we do not know about, and who is therefore 'undeclared' to us.

Occasionally, pricing errors may occur - we reserve the right to correct these at any time prior to the price being confirmed at the time of booking. We also have the right to increase the confirmed price of your holiday after booking by levying a surcharge - see clause 2 of our Booking Conditions.

Include in Your Tour Price

• Hotel accommodation with bath or shower on tour as specified, and on the board basis specified on each tour page: B = Breakfast; L = Lunch; D = Dinner. Occasionally it may be necessary to use alternative hotels
• Resort hotels and board basis as described on the individual hotel pages when the tour is combined with a resort stay
• Transfer and sightseeing (usually by non-air-conditioned transport)
• All itineraries include an English speaking guide at places of interest. Journeys in between each location will be with a local driver who may sometimes speak English
• Entrance fees to all monuments on tour are also included (unless stated otherwise)
• Domestic flights where advertised in the itinerary (these are subject to change without prior notice and may affect the order of itinerary)

• Holiday insurance
• Any supplements shown in our Price and Flight panels -if these are by season, the supplement you pay for the duration of your holiday, is the one applicable on your departure date
• Fuel supplements - currently £30 per person for short haul holidays to Spain and Portugal (May-October) and £40 per person
(November-April), £40 per person for short haul holidays to Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Morocco, Greece, Cyprus and Lapland and £65 per person for long haul holidays
• Government Air Passenger Duty
• If booking a villa only holiday, flights and car rental are extra
• In-flight meals: Monarch flights and Monarch scheduled flights do not include meals in the price of your holiday. Passengers wanting a meal on these flights need to purchase it at the time of booking (£12 per person return) Pre-bookable meals are not available on Monarch scheduled flights. Non-Monarch flights: Please check with your travel agent or the website at the time of booking for details, and check your tickets
• Any apartment or villa deposits (key or breakages)
• A booking fee of 2% of the holiday cost for all direct bookings made by credit card

• The basic car hire included for holidays in Florida in the holiday package includes the minimum State insurance cover. • Optional excursions, city sightseeing, entrance fees, local guides (where specified as not being included on the relevant tour/safari pages)
• Any local facility charges. Some accommodations charge a 'fee’ per room for certain services (such as safety deposit boxes, telephone calls). This fee, which is at the hoteliers discretion and liable to change without notice, will apply regardless of whether these services are used
• A Late Booking Fee may be incurred for bookings which include a charter flight and are made within approximately a month of departure, the charge for which will be a minimum of £15 per person
• A booking fee of 2% of the holiday cost for all direct bookings made by credit card
• Some facilities/services on Pricebeater/Hot Offer holidays such as inflight meals, Planet Kids, airport transfers
• Replacement of lost tickets at the airport - £40 per person

FlyDrive Holidays

Your Florida flydrive holiday includes return flights from the UK, and car rental for the duration of your holiday which includes the minimum State insurance cover. Fully inclusive car insurance is compulsory and is NOT included. It must be pre-booked at an extra cost, to ensure you have adequate insurance cover to drive the hire car in the US. We have 2 pre-bookable insurance packages offering 2 levels of additional cover, call us for details.

Holiday Deposits

A deposit of £130 per person for all short haul holidays and £150 per person for all long haul holidays must be paid when you book your Monarch Holidays package holiday, except for children under 2 years of age on day of return. Customers booking a villa only holiday must pay a deposit of £250 per villa.

Single Travellers

It used to be that if you travelled alone you got penalised, but at Monarch Holidays we have many hotels where there are no supplements to pay for either single rooms or sole occupancy of a twin, depending on the type of room available when you book. Remember that single rooms will be smaller and not always have the same general standard of facilities as twin rooms.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS

Why single travellers are asked to pay more: If a single person occupies a double room they will usually be asked to pay extra (eg. a 'single or sole occupancy supplement’), as hotels price their rooms as doubles or family rooms and don’t reduce the rate if it is occupied by a single person. The costs to the hotel of providing the room are the same regardless of how many people occupy it. This also applies to self-catering units for example, 3 people in accommodation priced for 4.

Why single rooms may be smaller: Hotel design sometimes means that single rooms are smaller and less well appointed. Although a supplement normally applies to these rooms, the overall cost is usually less than sole occupancy of a double room. We don’t make additional profits from these supplements, as the prices we charge reflect the cost we are charged by the hotel for under occupancy.

All prices include VAT on all holidays to EU countries and are based on the following exchange rates: Euro 1.4582. Cypriot Pound 0.8377. Turkish Lira 2.2914. Moroccan Dirham 15.9398.
