Pefkos in Greek means 'pine tree', which gives you an idea of the local scenery. It has grown from a sleepy little bay into a lively resort with a long beach. Here the watersports are good, although the sands are not as crowded as in neighbouring Lindos. With fewer watering holes and packed discos but a number of delightful tavernas, the pace is slower and the ambience somehow a bit more Greek - although you can always venture into Lindos (just 4 km away) for a lively night out.
