Situated on the west coast of the island, Tholos is the place to head for if you're looking for a get-away-from-it-all holiday. Split into old and new parts, the old village has loads of narrow streets and cute houses perched on the hillside, while the modern area has been developed for tourists with a small selection of tavernas, bars and a fast food parlour. With its own long, narrow pebbly beach you can simply relax here during the day and then mosey on down to the resort centre, which livens up a notch by night. A good combination for all the family.
