Chocolate lovers may wish to catch a plane to Florence for an event so chocolatey that, were all airlines and other transport cancelled, they might consider walking all the way to Tuscany to enjoy it.
The delicious event in question is the Artisan Chocolate Fair, held at the Piazza Santa Croce in the city, where those with a sweet toothy will be able to indulge themselves in this utterly fattening but only human way.
Luckily for those who cannot get enough of the stuff, the event lasts from Friday 19th January 2008 right up to Sunday 28th.
In the meantime, the beautiful city of Florence offers an equally rich and tasty display of renaissance art and architecture which can be discovered by those walking round the streets to burn off all those extra calories.
Featuring art galleries filled with works by masters like Da Vinchi, Michaelangelo and Rubens, the city offers a cultural experience worth a visit on its own.
