travel news - Spain: Best For Beaches, Best For Art
Spain: best for beaches, best for art
January 16 2008
Spain's Costa de la Luz is the best location in the country for large beaches, it has been reported.
According to the Telegraph, the coastline is popular among Spaniards but as yet undiscovered for the most part by UK holidaymakers.
The publication describes the coastline as "enormous" and notes that the sandy beaches are "invigorating".
Meanwhile, it cites the Costa Brava as "best for families with young children" thanks to its sheltered and sandy beaches.
The resort also boasts a number of "good" fish restaurants, the newspaper notes.
Additionally, Madrid is noted to be the best area of Spain in terms of art, due to its high number of galleries.
"Madrid boasts as great a concentration of fine art as just about any city in the world," the Telegraph notes.
Madrid is Spain's capital city and the largest city in the country.
