travel news - Tunisia Listed As Favourite Holiday Spot For Brits
Tunisia listed as favourite holiday spot for Brits
February 22 2008
One of the preferred holiday destinations among Britons is Tunisia, according to new research.
A report from Holidays-Direct.co.uk reveals that Tunisia is among its top ten most viewed holidays online, TravelMole reports.
Other locations to make the top-ten listing include the Caribbean, Gozo, Malta, Cyprus, Greece and Egypt.
Meanwhile, the study also showed city breaks to be popular, with European city breaks holding off competition from other regions of the globe.
Barcelona was listed as the number one city break on the list, for UK travellers, followed by areas such as Dublin in Ireland, Krakow, Edinburgh and Berlin.
Italian cities also proved popular with Rome, Venice and Florence.
The Association of British Travel Agents recently reported that short city breaks in Europe are extremely popular with Brits looking to escape for long weekends.
