Bradford swimmers train in Majorca
February 27 2008
A number of swimming enthusiasts from Bradford were looking to train in more sunny climes as they travelled to Majorca this half term.
The Telegraph and Argus reports that the City of Bradford's National Potential swimmers flew to Palma for a six-day training camp.
According to the publication, the swimmers - Sadie Dalton, Emma Midgley, Sian Morgan Jennifer Bonson, Michael Bonson, Ben Balmforth, Danny Stirk, Sam O'Donohoe, Luke Constantine, David Brown, George Mack and Dyon Whiteley -trained in the Son Hugo 50-metre heated outdoor pool.
The training camp was part of an intensive programme in preparation for the imminent Yorkshire Age Group Championships.
Majorca is the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands and is located in the Mediterranean Sea.
It is popular with British and German holidaymakers thanks to its many beaches and sunny climate.
