travel news - Sporty Brits 'should Think' About Equipment
Sporty Brits 'should think' about equipment
March 20 2008
Sport-loving Brits who are planning to travel abroad in order to take part in sporting activities should give some thought to the value of the gear they intend to carry with them, it has been reported.
According to the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba), carrying baggage varies between different insurance policies and whereas some have a £1,000 limit some have a £2,000 limit.
Holidaymakers could be travelling to countries like Majorca or Tenerife to play golf on the island's greens.
"Golf clubs can be valuable, so look at what the limit is on your travel insurance to see whether it covers the golf clubs," Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive for Biba commented.
The Association of British Travel Agents (Abta) recently reported that two million Britons would be heading overseas this Easter.
According to Abta, the most popular destination for holidaymakers is likely to be Tenerife.
