travel news - Maldives Hotels 'specialise In Tranquillity'
Maldives hotels 'specialise in tranquillity'
May 13 2008
Heading off to a tropical island for a period of rest and relaxation sounds like bliss and can now be possible on the Maldives.
A number of hotels on islands across the beautiful country are now increasingly specialising in luxurious rest and relaxation holidays, in a bid to attract people who have a busy and hectic lifestyle back home.
Pampering and massages are available at several of the hotels spread across the country - which is made up of somewhere between 1,300 and 13,000 islands, depending upon whether sandbanks, which protrude from the water, are included.
Diving and snorkelling is the order of the day in the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean, while the coral reefs make for some of the world's best diving destinations.
The Maldives is the world's flattest country and offers some of the most unique wildlife across the globe.
