Holidaymakers to Majorca may catch a glimpse of one of the world's most famous footballers over the coming months, after reports surfaced that Cristiano Ronaldo is set to propose to his Majorcan girlfriend.
The Manchester United star started seeing model Nereida Gallardo earlier this year and, according to Now magazine, has asked her stepdad for her hand in marriage.
Ronaldo had previously asked Gallardo to move into his Cheshire mansion with him, due to the strains of a long distance relationship. But if the pair are engaged, they are expected to fly between the two countries.
A source told the Daily Star: "He is really missing that special someone. With Nereida moving over here to be with him, it's going to make the pair of them so much happier."
Meanwhile, Ronaldo could be spotted by tourists in Spanish locations more than ever in the coming years, after he refused to rule out a move away from Manchester to Read Madrid.
