travel news - Canine Fashion Given Majorcan Twist
Canine fashion given Majorcan twist
July 18 2008
The world of canine fashion is to be given a distinctly Majorcan twist by one of the island's top design experts.
Yvonne Borjesson has been impressing onlookers with her range of home fashions in recent years but she has now fixed her attention firmly on improving the way dogs across Europe are turned out.
A special catwalk show is to be staged by the Matthias Kuhn Foundation to exhibit the latest canine designs of Ms Borjesson next week, the Majorca Daily Bulletin reports.
The designer has been living in the town of Palma for a number of years now and her matching sets of clothes for owners and pets was met with considerable acclaim in the home of high fashion Paris.
Art, music and dancers will also be on show at the Matthias Kuhn event on Thursday July 24th.
A charity event with a similar theme took place in New York recently as celebrities from across the US coordinated outfits and strutted their stuff along the catwalk in aid of the Humane Society and Animal Fair magazine.
