travel news - Mexico 'has Potential To Grow'
Mexico 'has potential to grow'
August 14 2008
Mexican resorts are set to become major destinations for long-haul holidays, claims new research.
Chris Chadd, head of research at Property Frontiers, believes that Mexico has the "potential" to attract even more tourists as investment in the regions of Cancun and Acapulco continues to grow.
Figures show that a total of 22 million people visited the country last year and therefore Mexico is in the top ten holiday destinations based on arrival numbers.
Further investment in the country's infrastructure will mean even greater facilities for tourists as well as new attractions for seasoned holidaymakers to the region.
Mr Chadd explained: "Established resorts of Cancun and Acapulco are testament to the potential the country has to offer and it is no wonder private investors are investing large amounts of capital."
Cancun is already one of the most popular destinations in Mexico, especially amongst those looking for inclusive holidays that offer relaxation, great food and stunning beaches.
